Indian Government rejects Google Street View.

Google Street View which was launched in 2007 in US, is a technology which provides panoramic views from positions alongs many streets in the world. It is featured in Google maps and google earth application.

The government of India has clearly refused Google 's proposal to launch it's street view service in India.

In India Google Street View service was launched in Bengaluru and it was also collecting street level images. But the local authorities stopped the service for the security reasons soon.

Waking up again in 2015 Google tied up with the Archaeological Survey of India to bring 31 historical monument and sites online to offer panoramic views to the consumer.

But Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, minister of state for home affairs told that a proposal was submitted by Google on Street View for the government's permission in July , 2015. But the government clearly rejects the proposal .

Google Street View present in more than 82 countries around the world which have been benefitted from it ib terms of tourism as well as other aspects.

Street View uses bikes and cars fitted with cameras to collect 360-degree images which the user is then able to see in a panoramic view with street-level 3D imagery.
